Every Live Act I Have Ever Seen #MusicMonday

Sexiest man alive Phil Taylor, suggested we publish a post on the same day listing all the bands and singers we’ve ever seen live. I mean, my ageing memory may struggle to remember all of them, but hell yes, let’s do this! So go check out Phil’s posts too (after you’ve read mine of course). I didn’t know what order to do it in, so I decided to start small and go big.

Blessed Ethel (am I the only one on this earth that remember this band?)

You have such a great list! I’m so jealous of so many of these! Blur, Billy Bragg, The Boo Radleys, Lemonheads! I think you’ve seen all the best 90’s bands!

All I ever did in the 90s was go to gigs. I don’t want to think about how much money I spent!

Also, how funny is it that you me and Cherie all saw REM? Btw, Steve lost his iPad traveling this weekend and isn’t joining us

  3. I love your list, very impressive!! How was the Hole show? Would have loved to have seem them.
I saw REM twice, 1986(I think) and 1989(Pine Knob amphitheater, Michigan)

They were amazing. It was the first Hole gig she’d played since Kurt’s suicide and she just came on stage and said “I’m not going to talk about it” and launched straight into a song. I was right at the front too. Definitely a gig, I’ll always remember. I saw REM in 1995. Would’ve loved to have seen them in the 80s though when they were a little smaller.

That’s a very impressive list! My list is much smaller (and in no particular order): Kings of Leon, Bright Light Bright Light, Roisin Murphy, Prince, Pink, Mary J Blige, PM Dawn, Little Boots, Omar, Pet Shop Boys, Chaka Khan, Menswear, Tori Amos (my wife dragged me along to that one), Robyn, and, erm, I think that’s it…

Haha and I dragged my husband along to see Tori too. The things you husbands have to go through. Oh my god you’ve seen Prince though! I am so insanely jealous. Was he amazing?

Yeah, Prince was awesome, and he played Hot Thing, one of my fave Prince songs. Saw him in Chicago, 2012 I think.

Ever been to the Half Moon in Putney? At this very moment I’m waiting for the doors to open for Cloudbusting, one of the best (maybe the best?) Kate Bush tribute acts.
